He credits Manny Gamburyan's advice for the victory…
- Steven Siler recently spoke about his KO victory over Mike Brown at UFC Fight Night 26. Here are the highlights…
On His KO Win Over Mike Brown: "It was one of the best 50 seconds of my life. I've had 30-something fights, and I've only had one knockout in my career, so I imagined winning but I imagined going to a decision or me submitting him. I never thought of me actually landing a punch and knocking him out."
On Manny Gamburyan's Advice: "Before the fight I was in the locker room with Manny Gamburyan and he knocked Mike Brown out with an uppercut, as well, and he was telling me, 'Come in hard with that right; he's going to lean this way,'" Siler said. "That's exactly what I did, and I was able to connect with the punch."
On Shocking People With The KO Victory: "I really do believe I shocked a lot of people, including myself," Siler said. "Like I said, I never expected to knock anyone out, let alone a former champion out, so I was shocked."
