A fight between two top 10 welterweights…
FoxSports.com reports that the UFC is looking to make a welterweight bout between now-top 10 ranked fighters Matt Brown and former Strikeforce welterweight champion, Tarec Saffiedine.
UFC President Dana White confirmed on Thursday that the promotion was planning to make the fight, though it is dependent on Saffiedine's health. The UFC would like to hopefully put the fight together by the end of the year.
Matt Brown is currently on a six fight winning streak, most recently knocking out Mike Pyle on the main card of Fox Sports 1. Saffiedine last fought in January on the last Strikeforce card, beating Nate Marquardt to win the welterweight title. He was supposed to debut at UFC on Fox Sports 8 in July against Robbie Lawler, but was forced to withdraw due to an undisclosed injury.
