Following his withdrawal from UFC Fight Night 30…
According to mmajunkie.com, following his withdrawal, due to injury from UFC Fight Night 30, UFC officials have confirmed that Paul Taylor (11-6 MMA, 4-5 UFC) has decided to retire from MMA. Taylor, 33, had not fought since February of 2011. He was booked to fight around four times since then, but various injuries (broken foot, whiplash) kept him sidelined. Taylor was set to face Anthony Njokuani at UFC Fight Night 30 in Manchester, England, but it was announced yesterday that Taylor had to pull out due to injury.
Taylor appeared in six of the UFC's cards that were held in England, went 4-5 with the promotion, and took home three fight of the night bonuses during his time with the company.
