Who will he face?
UPDATE: According to mmajunkie.com, the UFC is targeting Vaughan Lee (13-9-1 MMA, 2-3 UFC) as Sergio Pettis' UFC 167 opponent.
ORIGINAL: MMA Junkie reports that Sergio Pettis (8-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), the younger brother of UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, has signed with the UFC and will make his debut at UFC 167 on November 16. He will debut as a bantamweight against an as-of-yet unknown opponent, moving up from flyweight. Pettis told MMA Junkie that he was considering the move last week. The event takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs on PPV after preliminary fights on FOX Sports 1 and Facebook.
Pettis just won his last fight over the weekend, beating James Porter by submission in the first round. The fight took place at a North American Fighting Championship event in Milwaukee. Pettis was trained by Duke Roufus and is currently undefeated. In June he beat Dillard Pegg with a first-round TKO to win Resurrection Fighting Alliance's flyweight title. He went pro in 2011. His career has three knockouts, three submissions and three unanimous decisions.
Last week, he told MMA Junkie he wanted to go to the UFC. He said: "That's what I'm hoping for, and I'm ready to step up to the next level. This is the time to do it. I'm young, and why waste my youth?"
