ONE FC 11 fighter is looking to put on a show...
Bibiano Fernandes recently spoke with MMAjunkie about his fight against Soo Chul Kim at ONE FC 11. Check out the highlights:
On fighting for the fans: "I go in there to do my job and fight and be good for the fans. People pay and want to watch you. Sometimes a choke is good – it's a surprise. But sometimes it's good to keep it going and see what happens. I don't fight for me. I fight for the fans."
On fighting in the Phillippines: "The Philippines, my last fight there was crazy. Trust me. I tried to leave after the fight, and people were stopping me. I don't know how Singapore will be. But my last fight in Manila was crazy, that's for sure. I said, 'Please, I want to go to my room for a bit – I'm tired.' But they all said, 'We want pictures.' And that's the thing – I do this for my fans. In Manila, at the hotel, I go from my room to the elevator. I go down, I go up. I don't try to go outside."
On keeping focused on family and career: "I have three kids, so I wake up at 6 in the morning. My kids get up at 6:30, so I have a 30-minute break to have my coffee and watch the news. But I don't drink, I don't go party – I just train and spend time with my family. That's the key."
On his goals: "My challenge is to keep moving forward and keep getting better – train hard and smart and see if my body can keep it going."
