Jessica Eye Says She's Not Worried About Moving To Bantamweight

She can do it...
In an interview with MMA Junkie, Jessica Eye (10-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) said she's not worried about moving from flyweight to bantamweight, as other fighters have already done it like Cat Zingano and Rosi Sexton. Zingano defeated Miesha Tate before a knee injury ruined her chances of a title fight with Ronda Rousey. Sexton lost to Alexis Davis by decision.
Eye will make her UFC debut and bantamweight debut at UFC 166 tomorrow night against Sarah Kaufman (16-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC), a former Strikeforce champion, on the preliminary card.
On being questioned for her ability to fight Kaufman: "Because I've fought at 125, they think how can I possibly hang with a girl like Sarah?"
On her relief at not having to work as hard to maintain weight: "I'm up to 20-plus fights between boxing and MMA at 125. I'm 27 years old now, and I'm sick of it being that hard. I'm ready to just fight. Let me have my full belly."
On if she'll be successful in UFC: "I've been successful thus far because of what we've already done. I'd like to think the UFC (is a) good judge of fighting character – that they think I can handle it."
