He fights Brad Scott...
In an interview with MMA Junkie, Michael Kuiper (12-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) spoke about switching camps in advance of his fight with Brad Scott (8-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 30, which takes place at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester, England. Their fight will be a part of the Facebook-streamed preliminary card. Kuiper's last fight was a loss to Tom Lawlor at UFC on FUEL TV 9.
On the loss to Lawlor: "I made a mistake and Tom capitalized on it. I should have not tried to go to the ground at that moment. I was disappointed, but I quickly focused my energies in areas that were more productive. I made some adjustments in training and expanded my team of coaches and training partners, so I believe I have evolved from the experience. We can expect to see a better fighter in Manchester."
On fighting Brad Scott: "I did not know anything about him when I first was told I would fight him. I know that he keeps a good pace and has good boxing, but I believe I am the superior fighter in all aspects of the game in this matchup."
On what he changed: "I actually changed fight teams. I now train at Team Top Fighter out of Belgium. I also train with some very good, well-rounded MMA fighters, so the training is different this time around. I believe the fans will see some new tricks for this fight."
