Moraes says he was injured during his training camp before WSOF 6…
Marlon Moraes recently spoke about his recent win over Carson Beebe at WSOF 6 and being promised a title shot by WSOF President Ray Sefo. Below are some highlights:
Moraes on fighting for a title in the WSOF: "[WSOF President] Ray Sefo promised me my next fight for the title, so for me, I'm just waiting. Let's see who they're going to get for me."
Moraes on having injured feet during his training camp for Beebe: "I started the training camp, and I had both [feet injured]. I had my hand hurt, and I went through. I started doing only punches, and then I started the punches with wrestling, then I trained the last three weeks and started to do a couple kicks, but the Saturday before the fight, I was still feeling my foot a little bit."
Moraes on fighting through the injury: "I love to fight, and I can't say no to a fight. I knew that it would feel much better in the fight, and that's what happened. I was feeling great in the fight, but through the camp, I was a little hurt."
Moraes on training with wrestlers: "I have been training with a lot of wrestlers for a long time, and I've been ready to fight a wrestler for a long time. He's going to try to get me down, but he's not going to get me down. I knew he was not going to take me down, bro."
