He faces Nick Ring...
Caio Magalhaes recently spoke with MMAjunkie about his fight with Nick Ring tonight at UFC Fight Night 33. Check out the highlights:
On prepping for the fight: "I'm training more than ever for this fight. I'm injury-free and focused. I think it is really worth the effort to travel and train in different locations. It makes a big difference. All the sacrifices we make, like being away from loved ones, are part of our lives as athletes and are certainly worth it. These sacrifices only make us stronger."
On his win over Karlos Vemola in June: "Vemola was very tough, and we knew he had knockout power. But I always thought my jiu-jitsu and striking were a bad match for him. Nick Ring has good muay Thai and fights well at a distance. But I'm not worried. I trained with several strikers with good takedown ability. I feel this fight will also be very good for me. Training is what's most important, and my training has me 100 percent prepared. I think it will be a great fight. Even though he has roughly twice as many professional fights at I do, I'm feeling relaxed."
On his training camp: "We're ready everywhere, and I feel my focus now is better than ever. For my previous fight, I was also helping my partners like Glover and Antonio Silva get ready for their fights. This time around, the training camp was about me."
