He's happy about the bonus...
MMA Junkie spoke with Mark Hunt (9-8-1 MMA, 4-2-1 UFC) about the announcement of Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva (18-5-1 MMA, 2-2-1 UFC) failing his post-fight drug test after UFC Fight Night 33. Hunt seemed upset by the news, but felt better when he was told he would get Silva's $50,000 bonus.
He said of the bonus: "I haven't heard anything. Hell yeah."
When told that Silva was given a therapeutic-use exemption by the UFC, he replied: "S–t, I need to get on some of this s–t. F–k, I don't know how these guys are doing this s–t. I should get some of that s–t, too. That's news to me. I haven't heard anything of it. I don't know what to say, honestly. I don't know what it is, but kudos to me for the bonus, eh?"
The two fought to a draw at the December 7 event. The fight was praised by Dana White, who originally gave them both the "win" portion of the money and said he would buy private islands for the both of them. The two had suffered losses in their previous fights: Silva to heavyweight champion Cain Valesquez and Hunt to Junior Dos Santos, ending a four-fight win streak.
Hunt's UFC return hasn't been secheduled yet, as he suffered a broken hand during the fight.
