Shane Carwin Hints At Wanting To Fight Brock Lesnar
Posted by Joseph Lee on 12.28.2013

MMA Junkie reports that Shane Carwin (12-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) has hinted that he wants to fight Brock Lesnar (5-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC)...or at the very least, fight someone that is set to appear at UFC 168 tonight. Dana White has yet to confirm or deny rumors that Lesnar may return to the promotion, even when asked on Thursday during promotion of tonight's event.

Lesnar and Carwin fought at UFC 116 in July 2010 to unify the interim heavyweight belt and the UFC heavyweight title. Lesnar avoided a first round TKO to score the submission with a arm-triangle choke in the second round. Neither has won a fight since. Lesnar lost the title to Cain Velasquez and then announced his retirement after a TKO loss to Alistair Overeem in 2011. He later returned to the WWE. Carwin then had a decision loss to Junior Dos Santos before taking time off due to injury. He announced his retirement earlier this year.

UFC is set to make a special announcement at 6 PM ET tonight before the event. The announcement could be for the new digital network, but Carwin seems to hint that it's something else.
