UPDATED: Get UFC Fight Pass Free For 2 Months
Posted by Dan Plunkett on 12.28.2013

UPDATE: UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta, president Dana White, and chief content officer Marshall Zelaznik officially announced the service Saturday evening. More than 150 live fights are expected to be network exclusive in 2014. The first live event will be on January 4 in Singapore, headlined by Tarec Saffiedine vs. Hyun Gyu Lim.

The officials noted that UFC's entire video library will eventually be on the service. "Every fight that we've ever done and every fight that we own will be on the service," White confirmed. According to Zelaznik, the service will be available on iOS and Android devices in mid-January, and UFC is negotiating to make it available on Roku, Apple TV, and Xbox Live.

All international seasons of The Ultimate Fighter, including the upcoming Chael Sonnen vs. Wanderlei Silva Brazilian season, will be network exclusives outside of the local markets.

ORIGINAL: UFC Fight Pass, the digital service UFC revealed plans of earlier this month, went live today at UFC.tv. The first two months of the service are free to all, although a credit or debit card is needed to sign up. The free period ends on March 1, after which point the service will be available at a monthly cost of $9.99.

An official announcement on the digital network is expected for 6pm ET today.

The service, which will only be available in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand initially, will feature live fight cards, original programming, international versions of The Ultimate Fighter, past fights, and past events. Currently, all major UFC events spanning back to UFC 130 are available (including last month's UFC 167), as well as all UFC on Fox events, and much more. Content on the service is expected to eventually to expand to include the UFC's entire tape library, which includes events from Pride, Strikeforce, Affliction, WEC, EliteXC, and more. Both of Affliction's events, select Pride and WEC bouts, and all seasons of The Ultimate Fighter are currently available on the service.

411mania.com will continue to provide updates on the service as they become available.
