He goes for submissions...
Leandro Issa recently spoke about his fight against Russell Doane at UFC Fight Night 34. Check out the highlights
On his jiu-jitsu fighting: "I always try to bring the fight to the ground. So I tend to go for submissions."
On taking some time to get his striking game in order: "When I lived in Brazil, (my training partner) Braga Neto and I would always train together, with no gi. We'd wrestle together. And we'd accept MMA bouts without knowing any striking...Thanks to my time at Evolve, now my striking is much improved."
On his training regiment: "We've been working with our MMA head coach, Heath Sims, who comes from wrestling. We're also working with Chatri Sityodtong, who assists with strategy. Here, we have several Thai fighters. Plus, we have six Brazilian black belts who teach at Evolve. We're training together, hoping for a good result."
