Titan FC Debuts On February 28 On The CBS Sports Network
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.14.2014

MMA Junkie reports that Titan FC has signed a deal to air eight 2014 events on the CBS Sports Network, starting with Titan FC 27 on February 28. The deal will move the organization from its previous home of AXS TV.

CBS Sports Network launched in 2002 and has been rebranded several times. It can be seen in 53 million homes with availability (usually as a premium channel) in 100 million.

Titan FC 27 takes place at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas. The main event is Mike Ricci (8-4) (who was booted from the UFC after a split decision loss to Myles Jury in September) against Jorge Gurgel (14-9), who is currently on 2-6 run. Welterweight Matthew Riddle (8-3) will fight Michael Kuiper (12-3), who ended a UFC run with consecutive submission losses to Tom Lawlor and Brad Scott. Other fights include featherweights Anthony Gutierrez (4-0) vs. Lee Sandmeier (9-0), featherweights Kurt Holobaugh (10-2) vs. Eric Marriott (22-7), and bantamweights Kevin Croom (14-4) vs. Bryan Goldsby (17-15).

Titan FC CEO Jeff Aronson said: "We feel that fans and fighters alike will be the true beneficiaries of the new Titan FC-CBS Sports Network deal. Our main goal is to put out a product that will bring fans entertaining and competitive bouts and showcase our fighters."

The preliminary fights will stream on cbssportsnetwork.com.
