The Ultimate Fighter 11 Cast Member Kyacey Uscola Convicted Of Domestic Violence
Posted by Joseph Lee on 01.18.2014

News 10 reports that former Ultimate Fighter 11 cast member Kyacey Uscola has been found guilty of battery on a spouse or cohabitant, battery with serious bodily injury and corporal injury on a cohabitant for a June 15, 2013 attack on the mother of his child. He is facing 13 years in prison.

District attorney spokesperson Shelly Orio said the victim had a life-threatening laceration of her pancreas, eight broken ribs, a punctured lung, an orbital fracture and two lumbar fractures.

Urijah Faber, who is on Team Alpha Male (which Uscola joined in 2008), said: "To have a guy come clean his life up and to end like this is pretty tragic. He said 'hey, I'm messing up. I want to get my head straight'. And he knows we run a clean operation here."

When Uscola was arrested for domestic violence in 2011, Faber cut him out of his life. He said that he had temper and addiction issues but Faber hoped he would get his life in order when his son was born.

He added: "As soon as the first incident happened, Kyacey was no longer allowed to be a part of the team. He came in; he seemed to be on track for a little bit. But I think he has those demons. It was really heartbreaking to hear. Kyacey has to be a man for what he's done."

Uscola will be sentenced on February 14.
