Quinton Jackson Says His 2008 Police Chase was Result of Trying to Save a Friend from Suicide
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 01.22.2014

MMAjunkie Radio recently interviewed Bellator MMA fighter and former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Below are some highlights.

Rampage claiming his 2008 police chase was because he was trying to get to a friend who was going to commit suicide: "All I was doing was getting to my friend because he really needed me. My friend was going to commit suicide."

Rampage on how he's been branded as a "certain type of person" because of the incident: "They never talked about the outcome of things, and so now I'm branded as a certain type of person that did this and did that. The true story is not even out there that I saved a life that day."

Rampage on the woman who claimed she suffered a miscarriage as a result of the chase: "The lady … heard I was a celebrity and I knocked her mirror off and she wanted to sue me and she wanted to say I made her have a miscarriage, when she had a miscarriage two days before the accident. She was just trying to make money. The insurance got down to it and knew that she was lying, and she didn't win any money from that; she just got her money from insurance. It … kept the negative image out there."
