MMA Junkie reports that Cage Warriors Fighting Championship will make its debut in Denmark next month for Cage Warriors 66. It takes place on March 22 at the Ballerup Arena in Copenhagen. It will be the third event of 2014, with the main card streaming on MMA Junkie after preliminary fights on Facebook. The promotion is planning four events in Scandinavia, which includes the three kingdoms of Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
No fights have been announced yet, but Cage Warriors has confirmed that three Scandinavian fighters will be involved and a title fight will headline.
Cage Warriors CEO Graham Boylan said: "I've got four events in Scandinavia on our schedule for this year and I'm really excited about the first of those in Denmark next month. This will be an historic event as we visit another new country – the 12th to host Cage Warriors in recent years – and it will be headlined by a massive title bout, details of which will be announced very soon."
The show will feature Jack Hermansson (5-2), Mohsen Bahari (6-1) and the newly signed Nicolas Dalby (11-0). Tickets go on sale soon. Opponents for the three, as well as the title fight, will be announced soon.
Hermansson said: "I'm really glad to be back with the best organization in Europe. This is the place for me right now, and I'm looking forward to showing who the best European middleweight is."
