Charles Oliveira Extremely Happy with Return to Brazil at UFC Fight Night 36
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 02.16.2014

UFC featherweight fighter Charles Oliveira discussed his submission win at UFC Fight Night 36 over Andy Ogle and returning to fight in his home country of Brazil for the first time in several years after the fight card. Below are some highlights.

Oliveira on fighting in Brazil after four years: "To be able to fight again in Brazil after four years, and to fight in a fantastic city like this one with the crowd shouting all the time and pushing you forward, and to get a submission, which is what I do best – it's priceless. It's totally priceless."

Oliveira on Andy Ogle not respecting his ground game: "I don't think he really respected my ground game. I was able to take him down many times and do what I do best, which is my jiu-jitsu. He's very strong, and he was able to have a lot of takedown defense. I was trying to strike him a lot and I was able to take him down and submit him."
