Pedro Munhoz Wants To Prove He's The Best Fighter In The World
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.22.2014

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Pedro Munhoz (10-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) said that he plans to prove he's the best fighter in the world tonight at UFC 170. He will fight Raphael Assuncao (21-4 MMA, 5-1 UFC) on the FOX Sports 1 preliminary card.

On leaving Resurrection Fighting Alliance: "I was really happy fighting for them, and especially now moving to the UFC, they made my career. They didn't give me easy fights."

On his undefeated streak: "When I fought Mitch Jackson, I had only six fights, and he was 20-3, and he was dropping from 155 (pounds) to fight at 135. But then I beat him, and then I beat (Jeff) Curran. The last guy I fought was undefeated, as well. RFA did a really good job marketing."

On proving he's the best: "I said I'm ready because the UFC has the best fighters in the world. My idea is that if there aren't big fights, then whatever, because I want to prove that I'm the best fighter in the world. It doesn't matter who it's going to be. I need to show that I'm going to be the next one."
