The Ultimate Fighter: China Finale Gets Attendance Of 6,000
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.01.2014

MMA Junkie reports that The Ultimate Fighter: China finale had a sell-out attendance of 6,000. The total was announced at a post-event news conference by Executive Vice President and Managing Director of UFC Asia Mark Fischer. No live gate total was announced. The event happened at The Venetian Macao's CotaiArena and streamed on UFC Fight Pass.

This number is down from the UFC's first trip to the same venue for UFC on FUEL TV 6 in November 2012. It had an attendance of 8,415 and a live gate total of over $1.3 million.

The main event of the show saw Dong Hyun Kim (19-2-1 MMA, 10-2 UFC) KO John Hathaway (17-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) with an elbow in the main event. Elsewhere, Zhang Lipeng (7-7 MMA, 1-0 UFC) won by split decision against Wang Sai (6-5-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) to win the TUF: China welterweight prize. After the show, Fischer said that the two more events have been booked in Asia. The UFC will return to Macau on August 23 and then go to Japan on September 20. Both events will be "Fight Night" cards.
