"You better believe I called them..."
TMZ reports that Gilbert Melendez (22-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has revealed his training team for The Ultimate Fighter 20. He will be a head coach on the show against lightweight champion Anthony Pettis (17-2 MMA, 4-1 UFC). The two coaches will fight for the title later in the year. They will lead teams of 115-pound female fighters to crown the first ever strawweight champion. Part of his team will include muay Thai trainer Jongsanan Woodenman, along with some other notable names.
Melendez said: "As for my staff, for sure I've got to go with my big brother Jake Shields since he brings so much experience to the table. He's been here for so long, and no one outworks that guy. You better believe I called Nick and Nate Diaz already and asked them to make some time to come out and make an appearance and spend some time out there in Vegas."
