Danny Castillo Now Rebooked to Face Charlie Brenneman at UFC 172
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 03.05.2014

The UFC has officially announced that Danny Castillo has been rebooked at UFC 172 in April against Charlie Brenneman for a lightweight battle. The fight was made as a result of Castillo's originally scheduled opponent of Isaac Vallie-Flagg being booked to fight former Pride lightweight champion Takanori Gomi.

Brenneman recently returned to the UFC after moving down to fight at lightweight at UFC Fight Night Night 35, losing in the first round by submission Beneil Dariush. Brenneman will likely be in urgent need of a win order to stay in the UFC and not go 0-2 in his current Octagon run. Danny Castillo is coming off a decision loss to Edson Barboza at UFC on Fox 9.

UFC 172 is set for April 26 at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.
