He’s currently signed with RFA...
MMA fighter Leandro Higo (13-2, MMA) was recently interviewed about his desire to fight in the UFC's flyweight division. Higo is currently signed for the Ed Soares promotion RFA. The upcoming UFC Fight Night 38 card is set for March 23 and will be held in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, which is near Higo's hometown, so he would really like to fight on the card if a late injury replacement is needed.
Higo on wanting to fight at UFC Fight Night 38: "I recently signed up to fight in Ed Soares' RFA (promotion), but my focus, as is true of all fighters, is to fight in the UFC. And since the UFC is coming to my state, Rio Grande do Norte, and Natal is near my home, it would be a dream come true to fight on that card."
Higo on the trouble he's had with fights falling through: "I've had some difficulties. Several of my scheduled fights fell through last year. Either my opponents were injured or didn't make the required weight, and there were a few who wouldn't take the fight. My fight record should be a lot more extensive. But that's life."
Higo on returning to flyweight after fighting at bantamweight: "I used to be a flyweight, but there were very few fights at that weight. So I did some work to bulk up to bantamweight. I did well. But now I'm putting in the effort to go back to flyweight. I wish to debut in the UFC with the right foot. I want to do everything the correct way."
