[VIDEO] Jimi Manuwa Says He Will End His Fight with Alexander Gustafsson ‘Violently’
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 03.06.2014

No. 11 ranked UFC light heavyweight fighter Jimi Manuwa fights the biggest fight of his career on Saturday (March 8) against Alexander Gustafsson in the main event of UFC Fight Night 37. The fight card will be held in London. Manuwa appeared on UFC Tonight this week to discuss the upcoming fight. Below are some highlights and a video of the segment.

Jimi Manuwa on if he has the power to knock out Gustafsson: "I don't think anyone's chin can take my full power of a shot. Anyone can get anyone standing. It's about landing the shot to make it affective."

Manuwa's thoughts on fighting a taller fighter like Gustafsson: "I fought Cyrille Diabate and didn't have any problem getting in. I'll get my job done."

On if he will have any home field advantage fighting in London: "I don't look at it as an advantage for myself. The crowd doesn't go in there with me."

What he expects from Gustafson: "I think he'll try to take me down. You never know what can happen. It's MMA. It's not a stand-up fight. It's not a wrestling fight. Anything can happen."

Manuwa on how the fight will end Saturday: "It ends with a stoppage, violently, within the distance."
