He discusses how they would train…
- Tyron Woodley recently spoke about earning a UFC Title shot and more. Here are the highlights…
Would he Worry About Facing a Teammate For a Title: "Not at all. If worse comes to worse, we'll do whole a training camp together if we have to fight each other. What better way to get the exact look of the person you're fighting than training with him?" Woodley said with a laugh. "I think it's kind of funny that there's so much discussion talking about us fighting each other. But really, at the end of the day, we have to focus on our opponents. That's first and foremost. That and obviously the support (of each other)."
On Earning a Title Shot This Weekend: "It came out of the boss' mouth," he said. "Speculation is one thing, but the boss says this is definitely the No. 1 contender fight. The winner of this gets (a shot at) the world title. I want no ifs, ands or buts about it. That's what's been told to me. That's what I'm training for. That's what I'm mentally preparing for. I don't even want people getting that buzz about ‘if' out there. There's no ‘if.' This is a No. 1 contender fight."
On Saturday's Fight: "It's going to be a ‘Fight of the Night' performance anyway," he said. "Doesn't matter."
