Rousimar Palhares Must Pass NSAC Drug Test For WSOF 9 License
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 03.18.2014

Rousimar Palhares must get by the NSAC if he wants to fight for the welterweight title at WSOF 9. WSOF matchmaker Ali Abdelaziz revealed today that Palhares must pass a drug test from the NSAC in order to get licensed and that while he is "almost 100% sure" that Palhares will past, there is a backup plan in case he doesn't.

Abdelaziz did not reveal what the backup plan was, and said that he would get the test results the day before the show.

At the end of the conference call Tyler Stinsen said he would get the shot if Palhares fails the test, noting "You reporters need to do your homework. I'm the backup plan."

The show takes place on March 29th in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main card airs live on NBC Sports Network.
