Frankie Edgar vs. BJ Penn To Headline The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.19.2014

MMA Junkie reports that that former lightweight champions and The Ultimate Fighter season 19 coaches Frankie Edgar (16-4-1 MMA, 10-4-1 UFC) and B.J. Penn (16-9-2 MMA, 12-5-1 UFC) will fight at the TUF 19 Finale on July 6 in Las Vegas. The news was revealed by Ariel Helwani on tonight's episode of UFC Tonight on FOX Sports 1. The event takes place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The main card airs on FOX Sports 1. The night before will be UFC 175 in the same venue. Both cards are part of the UFC's "International Fight Week", including a UFC Fan Expo and several fan events in the community.

The Ultimate Fighter 19 debuts later this year on FOX Sports 1. Middleweight and light heavyweight competitors will try to win a six-figure UFC contract. Edgar and Penn previously fought twice in 2010 with Edgar winning both fights. At UFC 112 he won the lightweight title and then defended it at UFC 118 four months later. Both wins were by unanimous decision.
