Nicholas Dalby Discusses His Cage Warriors 66 Bout Against Sergei Churilov
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 03.20.2014

MMAjunkie Radio recently interviewed MMA fighter Nicholas Dalby (11-1, MMA), who is set to face Sergei Churilov (15-1, MMA) at Cage Warriors 66 on Saturday, March 22. Below are some highlights.

Dalby on there not being any MMA rivalries in Denmark: "There's not any rivalries at the moment. We're just trying to get all the attention we can. All the Nordic fighters feel not like family, but connected because we are from the same region. It's very rare that fighters have beef with anyone from other countries."

Dalby's thoughts on Churilov: "He's a good fellow. He's been competing a lot in sambo and pankration besides MMA. He has a lot of experience. He's OK on his feet, has good submissions, and he doesn't go for the decision. He's able to finish most of his fights, and that makes for an exciting matchup."

Dalby on what he expects for their fight: "I haven't really had a chance to showcase my submission skills. Maybe that will happen, but I'm not looking to do anything specific to finish the fight. You have to go in there and feel the guy out and see what you can do."
