Nothing to fear...
In an interview with MMA Junkie, Rousimar Palhares (15-6), who is scheduled to fight Steve Carl (21-3) for the World Series of Fighting welterweight title in Las Vegas this weekend, commented on the fact that he had to move his training camp from Brazil to travel to the US for a random pre-fight drug test.
On being optimistic of the drug test: "I think it's a good opportunity to prove I'm completely clean. I'm actually happy about that. It takes a whole lot of trouble out of my way. I'm clean – they can test me whenever they want, and nothing's going to happen."
On traveling to the US earlier than planned: "I'm not upset at all. There's positive and negatives. I get to adapt earlier. I'm sleeping well because there is always a lot of jet lag."
On challenging for the title: "I know he's a great fighter. It's going to be a great fight, and I've come to show I'm the best man."
