Georges St-Pierre Announces Torn ACL Injury
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 03.27.2014

Georges St-Pierre posted on his official Facebook page and Twitter account that he sustained another torn ACL injury, this time in his left knee, during training. He plans on getting surgery in a few days and will start rehab soon.

You can check out his Facebook post and tweet below:

"Just got confirmation that I tore my left knee ACL during training this week... Surgery in a few days and rehab starts right away. We all face challenges in our lives and I know only one way to take this one: Pain, hard work, no shortcuts and I will soon be back at 100%. Stay tuned and thanks for your amazing support, as always. Merci à tous pour vos encouragements."

GSP previously had a torn ACL in his right knee in 2011. The injury put him out for most of 2012 until he was able to return to face Carlos Condit in November. Since he announced his taking a break from MMA after his last fight, a split decision against Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 last November, he's never been committed against a potential return to fighting.
