Ronda Rousey Entering Arbitration Over Management Contract
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 03.29.2014

Ronda Rousey is entering arbitration over her contract with a management firm. California State Athletic Commission head Andy Foster heard arguments today on the validity of Rousey's contract with Fight Tribe Management, who she is trying to split away from. Rousey is arguing that the agreement doesn't hold up to California law, while Fight Tribe is arguing that it does. Fight Tribe filed the arbitration request.

Rousey's attourney noted that "This might take a while," while refusing to get into specifics about her issues with the firm. He added, "Maybe it all comes out later in the future, but right now, like in any relationship that comes to an end, there is an emotional component to it. The fact is, that the representation agreement is voidable and null and not legally enforceable. Once we get a determination, then we'll go from there, but that's really what the issue is."

The ruling should be made sometime next week.
