Steve Carl Says He Has A Plan For Rousimar Palahres' Leg Locks
Posted by Joseph Lee on 03.29.2014

In an interview with MMA Junkie, WSOF welterweight champion Steve Carl (21-3) said that he has a plan for Rousimar Palhares (15-5) and his notorious leg locks. Carl has sixteen submission wins (seven straight), including his three WSOF wins. Palhares has eleven submission wins. The two will fight at World Series of Fighting 9 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, airing on the NBC Sports Network. This will be Palhares promotional debut after his release from the UFC for not letting go of his leg locks fast enough after a submission win, which happened more than once.

Carl said: "If you watch the Alan Belcher fight (against Palhares at UFC on FOX 3), Belcher really exposes some holes in Palhares' game by stopping his leg lock attempts. When he did, he kind of shut him down mentally. That's what I plan on doing."
