Junior Maranhao Replaces Leandro Higo At RFA 14
Posted by Joseph Lee on 04.02.2014

MMA Junkie reports that Junior Maranhao (9-2) will replace Leandro Higo against Matt Manzanares (6-2) for the vacant flyweight title at RFA 14. Higo is out of the match due to visa issues. The event happens on April 11 at the City of Cheyenne Ice and Events Center in Wyoming, with the main card airing on AXS TV. It is the promotions debut in the state.

Maranhao said: "I don't know a lot about Matt Manzanares other than he is a tough guy who has fought some really good opponents. It is a dream of mine to fight in the United States. It's even better that I get to fight for one of the top promotions in the world that I have been following."

Manzanares added: "It's unfortunate that I'm not fighting Higo, but I'm here to fight anyone that is put in front of me. That's my job. I expect the same result with my hand raised on April 11th."

Here's the current card:

Matt Manzanares vs. Junior Maranhao for vacant flyweight title
Raoni Barcelos vs. Mark Dickman
Jeimeson Saudino vs. Tyler Voth
Alan Jouban vs. Armando Montoya Jr.
Daniel Aguiar vs. Tyler Toner
Rosa Acevedo vs. Jocelyn Lybarger

Scott Ingram vs. Joshua Smith
