He has to beat Travis Browne in order to get that shot…
Top UFC heavyweight fighter Fabricio Werdum recently discussed his upcoming UFC on Fox 11 bout against Travis Browne. Below are some highlights.
Werdum on the importance of his UFC on Fox 11 fight against Travis Browne: "I know how important this fight is for my next goal. My next goal is the belt. I want to fight Cain Velasquez, so it's very important for me, this fight. I'm just going in there, and he kills me or I kill him. That's it."
Werdum on Barnett's strategy in his loss against Browne: "Barnett has good experience, a veteran of the sport, but it's like he [went] crazy. He tried to take down Travis Browne right away in the first round, in the first two minutes. Why?"
Werdum on his game plan against Browne: "For my fight, I have five rounds. I have 25 minutes to get takedowns. Why would I go crazy right away? I don't know why guys do that, but me? I don't know, maybe I'll have a big surprise for him. I know he has good elbows. He has two elbows. But I have two elbows, too."
