Bruce Lee To Be Playable Character In EA Sports UFC
Posted by Joseph Lee on 04.07.2014

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Dana White and Shannon Lee revealed that legendary martial arts movie star Bruce Lee will be a playable character in the new game EA Sports UFC, which launches on June 17 for the Xbox One and Playstation 4. Bruce Lee died twenty years before the first ever UFC event in 1993. Here are highlights:

White on Lee being in the game: "I'm a huge Bruce Lee fan. Having him as a character in the game is fun. Anytime Bruce Lee can be involved in the UFC, I'm in. I love it."

Lee's daughter Shannon on her father getting another game: "There hasn't been a Bruce Lee video game in a while. Not that this is a Bruce Lee video game, but to be able to bring my father into that space in a way that I think is super fun and pretty exciting was intriguing to me."

Lee on how the deal was made: "This is the natural progress of our relationship with the UFC. I was super excited about it because while video games are fantasy, there's always a debate going back and forth about how would my father have done in the octagon. Now we get to have a little bit of fun and see."
