Ramsey Nijem Says He Changed Fight Teams Because He Felt Stagnant
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 04.07.2014

Ramsey Nijem recently spoke with MMAjunkie about changing his fight team from The Pit to Empower MMA for his fight against Beneil Dariush at UFC Fight Night 39. Check out the highlights:

On changing his fight team to Empower MMA: "I felt stagnant where I was, and I really need a change to push myself individually. I've been coming to San Francisco and the Bay Area my whole life. No disrespect to my (previous) coaches (at The Pit and The Pit Elevated). I still love those guys."

on training with Jake Shields and Gilbert Melendez: "Every sparring session, there's a purpose, trying to get better and improving. Jake's like a big brother. He's a good dude, and he's helped me out a lot, especially for this fight."
