Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney Talks About Alexander Shlemenko vs Tito Ortiz
Posted by Joseph Lee on 04.12.2014

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney spoke about the possibility of a fight between Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko (50-7 MMA, 11-1 BMMA) vs light heavyweight Tito Ortiz (16-11-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA). Rumors for the fight started after Thursday, in which Shlemenko called out Ortiz, who is currently recovering from a fractured neck. The two continued to talk about the fight at Bellator 116 in Temecula, California said.

Rebney said the fight is confirmed yet for Bellator 120. That event happens on May 17 and is Belator's PPV debut.

He said: "I just love the fight. It's just an exciting, entertaining fight. It hasn't yet been approved by the commission, so I can't look at you and say, ‘It's done, and it's on the card.' But I want to make it. As a fan, I want to see it. It's compelling."
