He doesn't want to have just one or two big fights...
Julio Cesar Neves recently spoke about his fight with Josh Arocho at Bellator 117 tonight. The fight is a one-off for Neves, without commitment for future bouts with the promotion. Check out the highlights:
On potentially signing with a promotion like Bellator: "Of course, every fighter has that goal. But I'm not in a big rush. I have lot of experience, but I'm still young. I can stand to learn a few more things. I don't want to fight once or twice in a major promotion. I want to stick around. I want a championship belt. I want to make history in the majors."
On having a varied fighting background: "I don't simply have an MMA career. I also fought boxing, muay Thai and jiu-jitsu. I have a great deal of combat experience. My opponent has good wrestling ability. He's a little shorter than me. That's pretty much what I know about him. I expect that most American fighters probably come from school wrestling programs. He's a great ground fighter. But I'm training hard."
