Not even on TV...
In an interview with MMA Junkie, Danny Castillo (16-6 MMA, 6-3 UFC) said that he was disappointed at first with learning his fight against Charlie Brennerman (19-6 MMA, 4-5 UFC) at UFC 172 was set to appear on the preliminary card on UFC Fight Pass on Saturday.
On learning his fight is on UFC Fight Pass: "I'm not even on TV, and it's, like, I'm coming off a ‘Fight of the Night' performance. A ‘Fight of the Night' performance, and that's how they do me? The second fight of the night?"
On feeling slighted: "This is going to be my 18th fight with Zuffa. I've been fighting some of the best names in the sport when I came into the sport. After seven months of training I was in the WEC. I've fought the Donald Cerrones, I've fought the Anthony Pettises, I beat Ricardo Lamases, and I beat Dustin Poirier. Those are some big names in the sport right now, and I'm on the Fight Pass."
On changing his mind: "I woke up a little upset this morning and just kind of took a step back to try to be thankful of where I'm at. There are hundreds of thousands of guys training to be in my position, so all I can do is be grateful for it and not be bitter. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, I can see the positives, and it's just added motivation or me to succeed and have a great fight. Hopefully you all have the Fight Pass."
