Stipe Miocic Would Still Like to Face Junior dos Santos After Fighting Fabio Maldonado
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 05.07.2014

UFC heavyweight fighter Stipe Miocic commented on his new match-up at The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 Finale against Fabio Maldonado and his hope to still fight Junior dos Santos at some point. Dos Santos recently had to withdraw from the bout on three weeks' notice due a broken hand injury. Below are some highlights of Miocic:

Miocic on his new fight with Maldonado: "I did want the Dos Santos fight more than anything, but I'm just happy that Maldonado took the fight. I still get to use all that hard training, and I'll be ready for him. I don't think it's a lose-lose situation. Anything can happen, so I have to be ready for anything. He's a tough guy. He comes ready to fight."

Miocic on his belief that he will have the advantage since he is a heavyweight fighting at his natural weight class: "I don't know how much he cuts. I think I will (have an advantage) because I'm a heavyweight. I definitely have the height and reach advantage."

Miocic on still wanting to fight JDS: "I definitely think we're going to meet up. Hopefully, my next fight."
