Rafael Natal Says He Didn't Get Enough Time For UFC Fight Night 31

He took it on short notice...
Rafael Natal spoke with MMAjunkie about his loss at UFC Fight Night 31, his fight with Ed Herman at UFC Fight Night 40 and more. Check out the highlights:
On his loss to Tim Kennedy: "I think I had a good first round until I took a punch to the chin. That's how MMA goes sometimes."
On taking the fight on short notice: "I learned about that fight with very short notice. The problem wasn't the opponent I was facing; I'm willing to face anyone. The problem was having so little time to prepare. It doesn't excuse my loss, though. Usually the UFC gives you three to four months to get ready. My fight with Kennedy was a mere two months after the previous one. I only had one week to rest."
On Herman: "Herman is undeniably a very tough and well-known fighter. He's well respected. I know he's seeking resurgence in his career. Well, he can do that after he loses to me. He has everything to do well in our weight class, but now it's my turn, not his."
On learning from the fight: "We always learn the most after losses. It's been about six months since I fought. I took that time to evolve every facet of my game. I've improved my pluses and corrected my minuses. The fans will see the best ‘Sapo' ever."
