David Michaud Knew His Second Chance In UFC Was Going To Happen

Just a matter of when...
In an interview with MMA Junkie, David Michaud (7-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) said that he knew he would get a second chance in the UFC soon. This will be his official debut, but he previously appeared on season sixteen of The Ultimate Fighter where he was submitted by Eddy Ellis in an attempt to get in the house. Tonight at UFC 173, he will fight Jingliang Li (8-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC), replacing Danny Mitchell.
On getting the call to the UFC: "Before my last fight, there was talk of (me) being a replacement for someone, but then a different guy got it. So I knew I was right there. After I won my last fight, I just kind of hoped.
On his opponent: "Looking at his record, he hasn't been finished. He's got all his finishes as guillotine (chokes), so I know to watch out for that. I guess that's the only thing I could really see to train for. He's a little taller than me, so I just worked with some of the guys who are a little taller and tried to work on getting better, pretty much."
