Duane Ludwig Talks About Leaving Team Alpha Male
Posted by Joseph Lee on 05.27.2014

In an interview with MMA Junkie, former Team Alpha Male coach Duane Ludwig spoke about the group's future now that he's leaving as their coach. It does appear to be bright after TJ Dillashaw won the bantamweight title from Renan Barao at UFC 173, the first Team Alpha Male fighter to get gold. Here are highlights:

On getting to see Dillashaw win a belt: "That was a crazy moment, for sure. It really was a storybook ending."

On still helping the team members if they need him: "I'm always going to be there for the guys if they choose, but right now I'm not scheduled to help him train or be in the corner."

On Dillashaw deserving his win: "To go in the cage in the Vegas crowd, for the title, main event, pay-per-view, friends and family watching to go in there that comfortable and confident and pull it off with such ease can only be done by a champion. Not just anybody can do that."
