To address his “alleged refusal” to take a random drug test…
According to MMAjunkie.com, NSAC chairman Francisco Aguilar has requested Wanderlei Silva's attendance at next week's Nevada State Athletic Commission meeting on June 17th. Silva has yet to respond to the request.
Silva's attendance was requested due to his alleged refusal to take a random drug test back in May. This led to him being pulled from his UFC 175 fight with Chael Sonnen. Sonnen would go on to fail a random drug test from the NSAC.
NSAC Executive Director Bob Bennett, as will a drug collector Silva reportedly evaded at his Las Vegas gym, will testify at the meeting. Silva has claimed that the collector showed up at his gym, asking him to sign papers in English and didn't properly identify himself.
