Valerie Letourneau Did Not Suffer Broken Orbital Bone At UFC 174
Posted by Joseph Lee on 06.17.2014

MMA Fighting reports that Valerie Letourneau did not suffer a broken orbital bone at UFC 174 this past Saturday. She beat Elizabeth Phillips by split decision at the event in Vancouver, British Columbia, and it looked like she injured her left eye. After the fight, she said she thought she broke her orbital bone.

However, she has now provided an update. She said: "Very good news. Nothing broken, just really swollen."

Letourneau, who trains with American Top Team, is now 6-3. Phillips is 4-2. The fight was thrown together on a week's notice at Phillis replaced Milena Dudieva. Both were making their UFC debuts as Letourneau replaced Germaine de Randamie. This was her second attempt at the UFC after failing to make the season 18 house on The Ultimate Fighter.
