Alexander Gustafsson Explains the Purpose of the Tattoos on His Arm
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 06.20.2014

Alexander Gustafsson has explained the series of tattoos on his right arm in a new Facebook post. In the post (which you can see below), the UFC light heavyweight explained that the triangles equate to his professional fights with a filled-on triangle meaning a win and an empty one being a loss. The only empty triangle on his arm is for his loss to Phil Davis at UFC 112.

As for the half-filled in one, as Gustafsson explains it is for the Jon Jones fight, which he thinks he won but he didn't get the belt for. As he puts it, "The next tattoo I will do will be filled in fully when I get the belt, this time I will not leave it in the hand of the judges."

Gustafsson faces Jones at UFC 178 this fall.
