Do you agree?
In an interview with MMA Junkie, Jessica Aguilar (17-4) revealed her picks for a "women's MMA Mt. Rushmore", including herself. She will defend her World Series of Fighting strawweight title against Emi Fujino (13-7) tonight at WSOF 10.
On the women's MMA Mt. Rushmore: "Megumi Fujii has been a legend for so many years. Gina Carano. Ronda Rousey. And the last one has to be me. I don't want to think of myself higher than anyone else, but when is there a time you have to stop proving you're the best at what you do? I want to create a legacy."
On her goals: "When I started eight and a half years ago, I didn't know anything about MMA and I want to leave my story behind as one of the best of all time. My goal is to continue doing what I'm doing and become pound-for-pound No. 1 in the world, as well."
On working hard: "When I started my career, in 2006, I used to just start emailing people. 'This is who I am, I need some help with sponsorship,' and I was working from 5 in the morning to midnight. I would just email, email, email. I learned a little bit and it just became easy for me and I like to be involved. This is your business, and if it can't happen, we can negotiate. I just haven't found the right fit (for a manager), someone who's going to hustle and work as hard as I work. If I make money, you make money, and I'm willing to pay. But it's like a cycle when you're with a management company."
