Ray Borg Wants More Respect With a Win at UFC Fight Night 44
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 06.26.2014

UFC fighter Ray Borg recently discussed his upcoming UFC Fight Night 44 bout against Shane Howell. Below are some highlights:

Borg on losing his UFC debut to Dustin Ortiz by split decision: "I took that loss a lot of different ways. Obviously, I wanted to figure out what wrong, but I also took it as a confidence-builder. I'm a very confident person, but I've only been fighting competitively for two years. I kind of had these emotions wondering if I'm at this guy's level."

Borg on what he took away from the fight: "I had some doubts in my mind about competing at this level. People keep telling me how great of a performance it was, but in my opinion, it was a bad one. It really put it in my head that even with a not-so-good performance, I can still compete with the best at that level."

Borg on wanting to get the respect that comes along with a win:
