Urijah Faber Talks About Being The Favorite Against Alex Caceres
Posted by Joseph Lee on 07.03.2014

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Urijah Faber (30-7 MMA, 6-3 UFC) spoke about the fact that he is a 12-to-1 favorite over bantamweight Alex Caceres (10-5 MMA, 5-3 UFC). The two will fight on Saturday at UFC 175 event from Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Events Center. It airs on the FOX Sports 1 preliminary card just before the PPV main card.

On knowing his opponent has more to gain from a win: "My whole last year was filled with that. Iuri Alcantara, Ivan Menjivar, (Michael) McDonald, Scottie Jorgensen. When you're in a position I'm in I've been in the sport a long time and been a world champion that's just the reality of it. You're either scared to play or not scared to play. I'm not scared of anything."

On taking Caceres seriously: "I think he's a guy that has dangerous weapons. He's not afraid to try. A lot of people count themselves out before they even start. He's the type of guy that goes in with offense. He lands big punches. He does submissions. He'll move all-around. In my opinion, those are the most dangerous guys to fight: guys that are really there to fight."
