Pat Miletich Joins the UFC Hall of Hame
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 07.06.2014

MMAjunkie reports that former UFC welterweight champion Pat Miletich was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame at the UFC Fan Expo earlier today.

Miletich was the inaugural UFC welterweight champion. He is now the 12th member to be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame, which began in 2003. UFC President Dana White inducted Miletich into the Hall of Fame and was apologetic to Miletich over their past issues, which involved a deal for Miletich to coach The Ultimate Fighter 3 that did not come to pass.

Commenting on his induction, Miletich stated, "I'm very humbled by the way Dana's handled this. It's impressive." He added, "There was a time when this sport had one foot in the grace and another on a banana peel. You have to give (Zuffa) credit. I've had a great life, great friends, and I'm very honored to be here."

Miletich joins Royce Gracie, Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn, Randy Couture, Mark Coleman, Chuck Liddell, Charles "Mask" Lewis Jr., Matt Hughes, Tito Ortiz, Forrest Griffin and Stephen Bonnar in the UFC Hall of Fame.
